The complexities of national and international chemical testing requirements demand an efficient chemical testing system.  However, in general due to production and sourcing models many companies lack the foundational systems  to build an improved chemical testing program.   And if they do have a system, they  might not have the data analysis tools to create a true Risk Based chemical management program.

The Chemical Data Management Sytem (CDMS) Methodology

The CDMS collects your global chemical testing data.  No matter where your product is tested in the global TÜV SÜD lab network, the data is housed centrally which allows  sophisticated statistical analysis. The CDMS uses your companies own historical testing data to yield statistically significant results to make your chemical testing program more efficient, while reducing costs and improving the integrity of your program.

The CDMS is an intelligent database and possesses the following features:

  1. an automatic BoM-comparison (Bill of Material) algorithm to return advice on testing activities by taking your supplier’s performance into consideration;
  2. a mathematical model for uncorrelated data to compute the passing probabilities of materials and final products subject to predefined (by you) acceptance limits;
  3. a time-evolving probability calculation making use of a rolling time-frame concept to reflect the most current performance of suppliers;
  4. a predictive power to forecast the passing rates of raw materials or/and final products upon acceptance limit or evaluation criteria changes – The Risk Cube.
