March 17, 2017 - Newswire

Wolverine, the flagship brand of Wolverine Worldwide, appointed John Estes as vice president of global sales and Andy Shripka as vice president of marketing.

“I am pleased to have John and Andy join the team,” said Todd Yates, president, Wolverine. “John’s recent experience as vice president and general manager of Sebago, combined with his 22 years with Wolverine Worldwide brings exactly the diverse experience we were looking for to drive sales. Andy brings with him an impressive background in marketing strategy and planning for consumer brands that will facilitate consumer engagement and brand equity for Wolverine. Having both John and Andy on the team will continue to position the brand for future growth.”

Estes will be responsible for all Wolverine’s sales including its footwear, apparel and international businesses. Estes has more than 17 years of leadership experience, most recently serving as vice president and general manager of Sebago. Prior to his role with Sebago, Estes served as vice president and general manager of Harley-Davidson Footwear.

Shripka will lead the brand’s global marketing efforts including brand strategy and consumer engagement as well as retail and consumer direct marketing. Shripka brings more than 18 years of marketing and advertising experience to the team, including leadership positions held at Kellogg’s and Meijer. During these previous roles, Shripka was responsible for brand equity, communications, and social and digital marketing.
