30 Nov Superfeet Unveils ME3D Recover; Industry’s First Fully Customized Recovery Slide
Building on the successful introduction of FitStation powered by HP with insoles, Superfeet is extending the technology with the introduction of the ME3D Recover recovery slides.
FitStation powered by HP claims to be the world’s first end-to-end solution that provides individual off-the-shelf shoe and insole recommendations, 3D printed insoles and now, individualized custom footwear. The system captures 3D scans of the foot, foot pressure measurements and gait analysis to create a one-of-a-kind Kinetic Profile of each foot, it then interprets the data to create individualized products designed specifically for the unique way each person moves.
ME3D Recover is a commercially-available individualized recovery slide with a lot size of one, available this spring. Featuring Superfeet proprietary SYNCRO Recovery Foam, the ME3D Recover slide takes the data collected with the FitStation technology platform and calibrates customized comfort zones to respond to the unique way each runner moves. The result is a recovery slide tuned to deliver the ideal combination of cushion and support. The ME3D Recover helps maximize recovery by minimizing the work your body encounters between runs.
“For too long recovery has been a one-size-fits-all solution for runners of different shapes, sizes and abilities,” said Eric Hayes, chief marketing officer at Superfeet. “We are reimagining the way the industry approaches recovery. In addition to creating the most individualized fit solutions on the planet, FitStation also allows us to push the boundaries of what is possible with footwear manufacturing. This is just the beginning of a major shift in how consumers will experience shape and fit.”
Also debuting at The Running Event, Superfeet and HP Inc. announces a collaboration with Brooks Running Company, to produce the first performance running shoe created based on an individual’s unique biomechanics as captured via FitStation. Brooks’ personalized running footwear will be manufactured at Superfeet’s world headquarters in Ferndale, Washington and available June 2018 through special order at select retailer partners.
