15 Feb Foot Locker, Nike And Jordan Brand Celebrate 10 Years Of House Of Hoops
Foot Locker, in partnership with Nike and Jordan Brand, celebrates 10 years of House Of Hoops by Foot Locker by continuing the evolution of the brands’ joint basketball platform. The @HouseOfHoops Instagram account launches today, announcing several recurring digital content series, and providing followers early access to hot and exclusive product through surprise and delight Instagram moments.
To launch its Instagram channel, House Of Hoops merged the energy of basketball culture with dance culture, with content featuring everyone from NBA players Kyle Kuzma, Devin Booker and Andre Drummond, to social influencers including King Imprint, Keone, Kid the Wiz and Lavaado. The spot launched on the new @HouseOfHoops Instagram handle, and will broadcast on Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018 on TNT during State Farm All-Star Saturday Night.

House Of Hoops will also debut two new digital content series. Launching tomorrow, the first episode of “Off the Record” will celebrate the Nike “Big Bang” Foamposite (retail price: $230) featuring Penny Hardaway and Jayson Tatum, diving into the unknown stories about how the “Big Bang” came to be. Later in the week, a live game-show style content series titled “Stockroom 23” will host its first guest, NBA All-Star and Jordan Brand family member Victor Oladipo, providing early product unlocks to @HouseOfHoops Instagram followers.
House Of Hoops began the new NBA season celebrating its 10-year anniversary with a renewed commitment to exclusive product offerings, such as the Nike TV Player Editions. When top NBA athletes sport special colorways of Nike basketball shoes on the court, consumers can find these player-edition sneakers exclusively at select House Of Hoops locations as early as the following day. As part of the NBA All-Star celebration, the Nike Foamposite “Big Bang” and House Of Hoops 10-year anniversary pack (SuperFly, Generation 23 and AJX) will be exclusively sold at select House Of Hoops locations.
The Instagram launch precedes NBA All-Star 2018 in Los Angeles, where House Of Hoops will be celebrated at Foot Locker’s brand new West Coast flagship at Hollywood & Highland. From Friday, Feb. 16 to Sunday, Feb. 18, House Of Hoops will host in-store NBA player appearances and also transform the outdoor shopping mall’s main courtyard into an elevated brand space featuring a full-court basketball court.
On Saturday, NBA All-Star Kyrie Irving, basketball influencer Filayyyy, and kid-standouts Jah Swish and the Splash Sisters will take to the House Of Hoops court for a program that includes a Skills Clinic, Dunk Contest and consumer shooting competition. All events are open to the public.
The first House Of Hoops by Foot Locker opened on 125th Street in Harlem in 2007, and still serves as the brand’s flagship location today. Today, there are more than 215 House Of Hoops by Foot Locker stores around the world.
