Factories that meet and exceed the FDRA Code of Conduct are nominated for consideration as a designated “Responsible Footwear Factory Manufacturer”. Reviews of all applications are conducted by an established FDRA factory compliance subcommittee consisting of professionals from Wolverine Worldwide, Caleres, Cole Haan, R.G. Barry Brands, the Nine West Group and Columbia Sportswear. Those designated as meeting the FDRA Code of Conduct and seen as top of the application class, will be awarded FDRA’s recognition (below). FDRA will recognize and highlight these factories at events and in its newsletters to global footwear executives. The designation will allow FDRA members to know which factories excel at compliance under a continuous improvement approach. The designation is applicable for two years, at which time the factories must be re-nominated.
