Did you know there are nearly 7,000 children experiencing homelessness in DC? Having a new pair of shoes is one of the biggest needs for homeless kids in local schools. A new pair of shoes gives kids a chance to fully participate in school and frees up resources their families can spend on other key necessities.

FDRA has partnered with Soles4Souls in support of students in Washington, DC, harnessing the collective power of the trade association world in our nation’s capital to make a meaningful impact in the lives of these kids.

Thanks to your help supporting our 2023 campaign!

• The initiative raised nearly $170,000 to give a new pair of shoes to 8,000 children in the D.C. area.
• Every $20 donated bought a new pair of shoes for a child in need.
• We also had the opportunity to volunteer at a local elementary school to deliver new shoes to 300 kids. It was incredible to see firsthand the difference the shoe distribution made at this school.
