High inflation is causing American families to pay more for everyday items they have to buy as a necessity like groceries, gas, clothing, and shoes. Tariffs will mean even higher prices for these families. A new national survey by Emerson College Polling shows that 82% of registered voters believe tariffs will raise prices at everyday stores. According to the survey, 72% of Republicans believe lowering the cost of groceries and everyday items should be President Trump’s main priority.
