15 Jul Asics Kids Footwear Receives Accreditation
Asics America Corporation announced that its entire collection of kids performance footwear has earned the Seal of Acceptance distinction by the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA). Shoes with the APMA’s Seal of Acceptance have been found to be beneficial to foot health and of significant value when used in a consistently applied program of daily foot care and regular professional treatment.
APMA was founded in 1912 and, with a network of podiatrists across the United States, is a leading resource on foot and ankle health information. Starting in July, all Asics kids’ shoes will have the APMA Seal of Acceptance on the box, showcasing Asics’ dedication to maintaining its leadership position in the footwear industry and providing parents with peace of mind when selecting shoes for their kids.
“Behind every pair of Asics shoes is an immense amount of science and research and our children’s footwear is no exception. Receiving the Seal of Acceptance distinction from the American Podiatric Medical Association is a testament to the hard work and continuous improvement that goes into making every pair of Asics shoes,” said Kevin Wulff, President and CEO, Asics America Corporation. “Encouraging an active lifestyle from a young age is important for a lifetime of healthy choices and we’re proud that our products encourage fitness and pass the test every day on varying terrains such as school playgrounds, parks, tennis courts, soccer fields and volleyball courts.”
APMA put each Asics kids shoe through a rigorous evaluation process, analyzing function, flexibility, quality of the materials and the workmanship. The Asics kids collection excelled in all of this testing, and all 19 different models were approved and recognized including top-selling shoes like the GEL-Kayano® 21 GS and the GEL-Noosa Tri™ 10 TS, great options for parents looking for the best doctor-approved shoes for their child. APMA is committed to foot health and its recent “First Steps: Keeping Kids’ Feet Healthy and Happy” campaign has given parents a resource for all they need to know about their children’s foot health.
“APMA is pleased to recognize the Asics kids performance footwear line with our Seal of Acceptance,” said APMA executive director and CEO Glenn B. Gastwirth, DPM. “Choosing high quality, supportive footwear is a great way to ensure children have a solid foundation while engaging in physical activity and as they grow. We applaud Asics’ efforts to keep kids’ active and on their feet.”
