“Terdema is a highly respected leader with an extraordinary reputation and track record of success,” said Kevin Plank, CEO and founder of Under Armour, in a statement. “Under Armour is a global growth company, and with the addition of Terdema to our team, we have one of the best in the business helping to drive the brand forward.”

Prior to joining Under Armour, Ussery was president and CEO of the NBA championship-winning franchise Dallas Mavericks, a position he held for 18 years. Ussery is also no stranger to the athletic footwear and apparel business — he has also worked for Nike as president of Nike Sports Management, where he oversaw the marketing, advertising and branding of the company’s sponsored athletes and secured brand partnerships.

“They are collectively an incredibly talented and passionate group who wake up in the morning and go to bed at night trying to figure out how to make the lives of athletes better through great product innovation and design,” Ussery said of Under Armour in a statement.
