03 Jan Under Armour To Launch All-America Camp Series
Under Armour unveiled its All-America Camp Series, a grassroots football skills platform for the best middle school and high school football players across the country.
Starting in February, a series of invite-only camps will take place in 10 cities nationwide, where selected athletes will have the opportunity to hone their on-field skills and earn a bid to the 2018 Under Armour All-America game.
The series, created in partnership with Intersport and 3Step Sports, stresses the importance of skill development above all else. In addition to the incorporation of Under Armour’s proprietary speed challenge, UA Illspeed, which is designed to test the all-around speed skills of the fastest players in the nation, the UA All-America Camp Series will focus on various athletic testing including the 40-yard dash, pro agility and the vertical jump. These athletic tests will be conducted through individual drills and head-to-head competition against other top athletes in their position. In addition, players will take on the opposition in one-on-one drills.
Media from every major recruiting service will be in attendance at each camp, and former NFL and collegiate players and coaches will be on site for coaching and skill development.
“We’re excited to bring the Under Armour All-America Camp Series to life in 2017,” said Ryan Kuehl, vice president sports marketing, Under Armour. “Our mission at Under Armour is to make all athletes better, and this is the perfect opportunity to invest in the great football athletes of the next generation and give them the right platform to develop and grow their talents on the field.”
The Under Armour All-America Camp Series begins in Los Angeles on February 18, making stops in California, Florida, Texas, Georgia, Illinois, Ohio and New Jersey before concluding June 3 in Baltimore.
