Southern Wesleyan University, based in Central, SC, announced a new, multi-year partnership agreement with Adidas. Adidas will become the official outfitter of the Warriors beginning with the 2019-20 academic year.
“Adidas is a global brand in its industry and we are thrilled to partner with an exceptional and universal brand,” said Director of Athletics Chris Williams. “This new relationship continues to show our commitment to outfitting our student-athletes and coaches with the best product to help them succeed within Conference Carolinas, the NCAA and the NCCAA. We also look forward to partnering with Adidas and Vision Sporting Goods to continue to generate exciting and consistent marks and logos which will only further enhance our Warrior brand.”
Southern Wesleyan’s agreement is also with Vision Sporting Goods, who will design and service the athletic department exclusively. Vision Sporting Goods, based in Garner, NC, is a platinum Adidas dealer that prides itself on providing an exceptional customer service and delivery experience to NCAA and NCCAA member schools across the country. Vision Sporting Goods is unique in purpose and structure allowing a portion of their profits to be directed towards summer sports trips and mission outreach projects for coaches, players and parents to areas of need around the world.
“We are excited to have been selected as a vital partner to Warrior Athletics and their ministry to the student-athletes at Southern Wesleyan University,” said Dan Bowers, founder and president of Vision Sporting Goods. “Our objective at Vision Sporting Goods is to serve as an extension of Warrior Athletics, allowing the staff to focus on the ministry of coaching and raising up the next generation of student-athletes and leaders. It’s an honor to partner with Chris Williams and his team of coaches and administrators. I have known Chris for a number of years, and he personifies our mission statement: PURPOSE BEYOND THE GAME. It’s a natural fit for providing team gear and apparel as well as partnering together in ministry.”
Southern Wesleyan University features 18 varsity teams and over 300 student-athletes, representing just over 30 percent of the University’s enrollment.
