02 Jun Allbirds Expands Wholesale Distribution To Nordstrom
Nordstrom said it will start selling Allbirds in 14 select stores. In early May, Allbirds announced its first two retail partners— Public Lands, a banner of Dick’s Sporting Goods, in the U.S., and Zalando in Europe.
“Partnering with a sustainability leader like Allbirds allows Nordstrom to better act on our brand promise to deliver the most relevant selection from brands that matter most to our customers,” said Tacey Powers, executive vice president and general merchandising manager, shoes at Nordstrom, Inc.
“We’re excited to scale our partnership with Nordstrom following the success of our two previous collaborations,” said Travis Boyce, Allbirds’ vice president, business development. “As a trusted retailer where shoppers know they are buying high-quality products, we’re thrilled to be a part of that mission with our high-quality, sustainably made footwear now available at Nordstrom stores. This natural next step will bring more sustainable choices to a new group of customers, allowing us to further educate consumers on carbon emissions and impact through our carbon labels.”
At the close of the first quarter, Allbirds had expanded its store base to 39 doors. In recent years, Nordstrom has added several direct-to-consumer brands to its portfolio, including SKIMS, On Running, LL Bean, Good American, and Vuori.
