21 May Converse sells limited edition shoes for the Boston One Fund
A Massachusetts-based shoe company with worldwide appeal is selling limited edition sneakers to benefit the One Fund.
Converse announced Tuesday all proceeds from their limited edition Chuck Taylor All Star sneaker featuring the Boston skyline will go to the victims of the Boston Marathon bombings.
The shoes are available at the Converse store on Newbury Street and on their website at www.converse.com.
The shoe company, which is a subsidiary of Nike, has had Mass. ties since it was founded in Malden in 1908. It is currently headquartered in North Andover and is expected to move to Boston by 2015.
As of Tuesday afternoon, the One Fund had reached over $31 million. Fund administrators hope to divide it among victims by the end of June.
