The Congressional Sneaker Caucus hosts Sneaker Day each year on Capitol Hill with special guests for Roundtable Discussions on Innovation, Footwear Design, Education, Footwear Jobs, Expanding Opportunities, and more. Sneaker Day kicked off in 2023 as a refreshing moment of fun amidst an era of political movement, where over 75 House and Senate members and congressional staff gathered on Capitol Hill to show off their shoes, have conversations, and celebrate the impact of sneakers on culture.
Co-chaired by Representatives Jared Moskowitz (FL-23) and Wesley Hunt (TX-38), the Caucus hosted the 4th Sneaker Day on June 25, 2026 and featured a dynamic panel discussion with Sean Williams, co-founder of SOLEcial Studies CommUNITY Academy, and Dr. D’Wayne Edwards, founder of PENSOLE Footwear Design Academy and Pensole Lewis College of Business & Design. The conversation centered on sneaker culture, design, entrepreneurship, and career pathways across the footwear industry.
