05 Sep Converse Maison Martin Margiela Footwear Collection
Today finally brings about a full view of the highly anticipated footwear collaboration between Converse and Maison Martin Margiela. Over the past week, we’ll seen previews of the sneakers, both still images and videos alike. Today, the collection in its entirety is vindicated with officially imagery and a visual highlighting each look. Along with that, we have a confirmed release date and pricing details for the highly anticipated designer collection that blends Parisian luxury with classic American footwear heritage.
The collection, of course, features the Chuck Taylor All Star and Jack Purcell silhouettes. Dipped in white paint with a splattered pattern that extends though the laces, eyelets, and outsole, the shoes find Converse branding in its proper place with Margiela lettering on the inner lining. As with anything laced in paint, when it begins to chip, the sneakers will take on a unique look unlike any other with new coloring revealed underneath. Colorways include Crimson Red, Black, True Navy and exclusive to Margiela is the Vintage Sunflower Yellow scheme. Aligned with the Converse First String initiative, the Converse Maison Martin Margiela collection will release on September 20th for $200 USD.
