Under Armour Launches a Smart Shoe, Wireless Headphones and Other Fitness Gadgets

Under Armour Inc. is launching a line of connected fitness products, including a smart shoe and two models of wireless headphones.

The products piggyback off Baltimore-based Under Armour’s (NYSE: UA) big bet on fitness tracking technology, a play that the company sees as the future of health and fitness. Under Armour is unveiling the new products at this week’s Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

Here’s a rundown:

Smart shoe: The UA SpeedForm Gemini 2 Record Equipped is the company’s first smart shoe, which tracks and stores data including time and date, duration, distance and splits using a chip. The shoe allows athletes to run device-free. The shoe will be available Feb. 29 and retails for $150.
