Adidas Extends Exos Partnership

Adidas and Exos extended their long-term partnership that allows Adidas to combine their product expertise with Exos’ human performance experience to serve athletes.

“At Adidas, we believe that through sport we have the power to change lives. We want to make sport more accessible to everyone around the world and create a healthier population unified by sports culture,” said James Carnes, vice president of strategy creation at Adidas.

Exos provides solutions across the four pillars of human performance: mindset, nutrition, movement and recovery.

“Sport is about more than the few minutes we spend working out in a gym or on the field of play, it’s about the way we live, how we move, how we eat, how we rest and recover, and about our mindset,” said Carnes. “We plan to continue to embed the Exos philosophy deeply into our organization and build products, programs, and experiences for all athletes to improve their performance and feel their best all day.”

As part of the expanded agreement, Exos will further its role in supporting Adidas in communicating to and solving for Adidas customers worldwide. This includes global business unit integration and in-market activation to help empower Adidas customers.

In addition to working with Adidas business units and assisting with other consumer-facing Adidas functions, Exos will continue to support the performance of Adidas employees at the Adidas Group headquarters in Herzogenaurach, Germany, and at the Adidas America Inc. headquarters in Portland, OR.

“Our partnership was born out of a shared responsibility and determination to help athletes perform their best. Adidas powers athletes from the outside in, while Exos powers them from the inside out,” said Mark Verstegen, founder and president of Exos. “We are energized by deepening our commitment with Adidas to provide all athletes with a competitive advantage.”

Working together since Exos’ launch in 1999, the two companies have supported a variety of projects for athletes and consumers, as well as each company’s employees. Projects done in collaboration with Exos’ performance innovation team include Adidas’ AdiPure, Techfit, and MiCoach product lines, and content for MiCoach and other channels. Exos is currently working with Adidas at their new flagship store in New York City where Exos performance specialists are providing performance guidance to customers. This service may be expanded to other Adidas stores in the future.
