22 Oct Amer Sports Appoints Chief Digital Officer
Amer Sports Corp. has appointed Heikki Norta its chief digital officer to lead the acceleration of the group’s Connected Devices and Services.
Previously Norta has worked in various leadership positions at Nokia and Microsoft in the areas of wireless products and digital services, most recently in the U.S. Norta will report to Heikki Takala, Amer Sports president and CEO, and he becomes member of Amer Sports’ executive board.
Takala said, “Overall company digitalization and especially accelerating the growth of our Connected Devices and Services are key priorities in our strategic 2020 glidepath. To execute this acceleration we continue building the right capabilities, and I am pleased to welcome Mr. Norta to lead this Group-wide priority.”
Amer’s brands include:Salomon, Wilson, Atomic, Arc’teryx, Mavic, Suunto and Precor.
