31 Jan Asics Reopens Tokyo Flagship
Asics Store Tokyo reopened on January 27 following renovation. It first opened in February 2007 as Asics’ first direct retail outlet offering the company’s running goods. The store has been renovated in line with Asics’ globally-integrated retail concept.
The new concept is centered on the Asics ‘Sound Mind, Sound Body’ philosophy and offers consumers a fully integrated sports experience – bringing the brand’s consumer-centric approach to life in an innovative and elevated shopping experience.
Asics is the acronym for ‘Anima Sana In Corpore Sano’, and the store’s consumer journey reflects the harmony of this philosophy. The space balances the highly technical aspects of the brand’s products – a sound body – with natural, warm finishes, features and materials – a sound mind – resulting in an environment that immerses customers in a world where both the mind and body are stimulated.
The new retail concept will roll-out in Asics stores and across point of sale areas globally.
Asics Store Tokyo still features the Asics Running Lab, where users can measure their overall running efficiency with sophisticated, specialized machinery; Asics Foot ID to measure foot form with greater precision; and membership services like changing rooms, lockers, and shower spaces. Asics Store Tokyo offers a wide range of merchandise for both running and overall training, as well as customer services to help beginner through competition-level runners and fitness enthusiasts improve their form.
