Asics Unveils 2015 Accelerate Hope Collection

Asics America Corporation announced its continued support of cancer research through the Asics Accelerate Hope collection. Now in its fourth year, a portion of the proceeds from the sales of the collection will support three leading education and cancer research organizations: Cookies for Kids’ Cancer, Right Action for Women, and the Prostate Cancer Foundation.

“Asics America is incredibly proud to partner with these three amazing organizations and admire the work they do to raise awareness, education and aid in the fight against cancer,” said Shannon Scott, Asics America Corporation Senior Director of Marketing. “Supporting the mission of these organizations through our Accelerate Hope collection is something that we are deeply passionate about.”

The Accelerate Hope™ collection offers a wide variety of vibrant products for men, women and children, including performance gear, t-shirts, socks and accessories. Each partner has a dedicated footwear line for men, women and children with patterns and colors that are inspired by each of the organizations. Each footwear item in the collection comes in a customized box and the apparel and accessories line each have a dedicated hang tag. New this year, the line will be available starting August 1, 2015 at www.asicsamerica.com and various sports specialty retailers.

Asics America has expanded its commitment to raising funds for each of the charity partners with a guaranteed donation of $10 per pair of footwear sold, $2 for each apparel item and $1 for each accessory purchased within the designated time frame with a minimum guaranteed donation of $100,000 per organization, up to $150,000.
From September through November, Asics America will focus on each of the various charity partners each month, including:

September: Childhood Cancer Awareness with Cookies for Kids’ Cancer: Committed to raising funds for research to develop new, improved treatments for pediatric cancer, the #1 disease killer of children in the United States, Cookies for Kids’ Cancer raises funds through community events across the country. To show support for the cause, Asics America is launching its third annual product collection for men, women and children during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month in September 2015.

October: Breast Cancer Awareness with Christina Applegate’s Right Action for Women (RAW): For the fourth consecutive year, Asics America will launch a specialty collection of footwear and apparel to benefit Christina Applegate’s initiative, Right Action for Women. This charitable program provides support for women who are at an increased risk of breast cancer and helps to reduce financial barriers many women face when accessing advanced breast screenings.

November: Prostate Cancer Awareness with the Prostate Cancer Foundation (PCF): Utilizing unique strategies for identifying and investing in the most innovative and results-driven research programs, PCF has generated life-saving results in the fight against prostate cancer. In the past five years, research supported by the Foundation has helped deliver six new FDA-approved medicines for patients with advanced disease. Asics America will support the cause with a bold, bright blue product collection in November 2015.
