24 Jul Astral Names Rep for Southwest Terriroty
Astral, designers of outdoor performance footwear and best in class PFDs, has named John Drollinger as its Southwest sales rep. Drollinger will represent the brand in Southern California, Arizona and Hawaii.
Astral’’s newest sandals, the Filipe and Rosa, come with an optional ‘Super Strap’ that fixes the flip flop securely to your foot by wrapping around the heel and over the instep.
Born and raised in California, Drollinger represents the third generation in his family to work in the outdoor industry. He currently works with some of the largest and most influential brands in the business.
“John’s the perfect candidate to expand Astral’s presence in the Southwest,” notes Astral’s VP of Sales and Marketing Christie Dobson. “As we continue to grow, John’s experience and expertise can really help us develop long-term relationships with dealers in the area.”
Drollinger will be selling both PFDs and footwear in his territories, including a line of flip flops Astral launched this week that can be converted into sport sandals. The Filipe and Rosa sandals combine sticky G Rubber outsoles, a balanced geometry midsole, and synthetic uppers to create a fashionable flip flop that can be converted into a sport sandal by wrapping an accompanying ‘Super Strap’ around the heel and over the instep.
“We strongly prefer the look and simplicity of flip flops,” says Astral CEO Philip Curry. “So our focus was to make one in which we can live our wild lives out in nature. We’re pretty sure this is the best flip-flop ever, and definitely the most versatile sports sandal.”
