25 Aug Birkenstock Again Tops Back-to-School Lists
Birkenstocks for the third year in a row was the top footwear choice in back-to-school searches, according to Google’s list of 2016 back-to-school trends.
According to Google search data from June to July 20, 2016 versus the same period a year ago, searches for Birkenstocks were not only the leading choice but up 46 percent year over year. The second most popular back-to-school footwear search was Nike Jordan, following in the top five by Chaco, Under Armour Curry and Adidas Yeezy Boost.
The survey also found that among backpack searches, the top five were Victoria’s Secret’s Pink, Sprayground, Kavu, Fjällräven (specifically the Kånken bag) and Pokémon.
