26 Aug Converse Suit Heads to Hearings
Converse’s Chuck Taylor All Star copyright case is heating up in Washington D.C.
Over the next five days, Converse and the firms it has accused of copying its design, are in hearings at the International Trade Commission arguing their sides and presenting evidence.
According to Women’s Wear Daily, Converse has already lost one key question regarding the midsole trademark. The commission said that because Converse couldn’t establish a secondary meaning of the Chuck Taylor All Star midsole trademark, they didn’t own the design element, opening the door for competitors to use similar elements.
