03 Feb Earth Shoes Appoints New CEO
Earth Shoes has appointed Alison Bergen, formerly CEO of Aerosoles, as CEO. She takes over day-to-day leadership from former president Mark Parsley, who has left the company.
Bergen reports to Earth Shoes founder and chairman Phil Meynard.
At Aerosoles, Bergen was instrumental in the company’s turnaround that supported the sale of the company this month to American Exchange Group.
During her three years at Aerosoles, Bergen helped to modernize the casual footwear brand while expanding its distribution.
“Alison was the obvious choice to help Earth Shoes get to the next phase of our business,” said Meynard in a statement. “Her unique combination of professional experiences across categories, price points and phases of growth will be instrumental in setting Earth Shoes in the right direction for a strong future.”
Bergen said, “I love the clear mandate and mission of Earth Shoes—better shoes for you and your environment. We have work to do to get where we need to be in the future and have the talent, drive and clarity to get there.”
