21 Feb Eastman Footwear recalling thousands of children’s shoes over risk of cutting yourself
WASHINGTON (AP) — Eastman Footwear is recalling 12,200 pairs of children’s shoes because there’s a risk of cutting yourself on them.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said Thursday that the company is recalling Coleman Runestone shoes because the metal rivets where shoelaces are threaded can have sharp edges.
Eastman has received one report of an adult who scratched or cut his finger. No medical attention was required.
The shoes are black with gray mesh panels and a green “Coleman” logo name and lantern graphic on the tongue. They were sold at Big 5 Sporting Goods stores last year for about $39.
Consumers can return the shoes to Big 5 or contact Eastman for a full refund.
