New Balance Golf enters new category with Minimus golf shoes

New Balance Golf is now shipping its first entry into the golf footwear category, a lightweight, spikeless golf shoes built on the popular Minimus running last. Available in two models, Minimus™ Sport and Minimus™ LX, the collection utilizes REVLite™ for lightweight cushioning, a 4mm drop midsole and a dual density spikeless outsole.

“At only 7.3 ounces, the Minimus Sport golf shoe is one of the lightest in the industry,” said Carey Langley, product director, New Balance Golf. “Both golf shoes are built on the same 4mm drop last used in other Minimus running and training shoes. This provides a lower heel stack height resulting in your feet being lower to the ground. The Sport has a mesh upper making it a little lighter than the LX which is a full-grain waterproof leather upper. Golfers will find the Sport and LX deliver the comfort, fit and performance features that they enjoy from New Balance footwear.”

Minimus Sport (Athletic Design – Performance Spikeless)
The ultra-lightweight athletic styled Minimus Sport features a water resistant, breathable air-mesh upper with a TPU stability cage for cool, comfortable support. Built on New Balance’s Minimus running last, it provides a wider forefoot to allow toes to splay apart. The REVlite™ 4 mm drop midsole provides lightweight cushioning and premium responsiveness. The Minimus has a Ortholite® insole for cool, dry comfort. The spikeless outsole utilizes dual density integrated traction.
