22 Feb New Balance Teams Up With New Era Cap
New Balance and New Era Cap launched a new collaboration for 2017 that will include limited-edition products for baseball players to stand out both on and off the field.
The first two products in the collection are the New Balance 3000v3 cleat and the New Era 39Thirty Cap, featuring black base materials with iridescent accents. Both are available starting today at New Balance and New Era Cap retail stores as well as on NewBalance.com and NewEraCap.com.
“The NB x New Era Cap Pack joins two authentic baseball brands to give players of any level a look they’ll be excited to rock,” said Matt Nuzzo, associate product manager, New Balance Baseball. “We kept a black base for both the cleat and hat, but added the reflective colorshift material for just the right amount of flash and swagger. Overall it’s a really classy look that still allows players to stand out under the bright lights.”
The 3000v3 debuted in August 2016. This model targets comfort with breathable nubuck/mesh upper, full-length Revlite midsole, Data to Design insert and Comfort Collar.
“This project is just one of a year-long partnership between two global iconic sportswear brands,” said Christina McAdam-Director, custom product & projects, New Era Cap. “The synergy between both New Balance and New Era Cap represents one of industry leading technology, performance and consistent product quality. The upcoming collaborative releases infuse varying technical manufacturing techniques with relevant lifestyle trends.”
The 39Thirty cap features stretch-fit and a closed back style with a stretch sweatband for fit and comfort. The structured cap is a classic shape with front panel structure and contoured crown. Iridescent and reflective materials on rear seam taping, metal New Balance badge and under visor match the 3000v3 cleats.
“To create synergy between the cleat and the hat, we utilized our Diamond Era fabric on the hat as well as on the tongue and the toe box of the cleat.” said New Era Senior Design Manager Shawn Curtin. “Moving forward in our collaborations with New Balance, sharing fabrics on both hats and footwear is something we’ll incorporate to tie the lines together.”
Additional collections as part of the NB x New Era Cap collaboration will launch throughout 2017, and will include baseball and lifestyle footwear and headwear.
