02 Jul Nicole Kidman is the new face of Jimmy Choo
The new store at the Mall at Green Hills isn’t luxe footwear Jimmy Choo’s only tie to Nashville these days – the elite shoe company hired Academy Award winning actress and area resident Nicole Kidman to be the face of its autumn/winter 2013 ad campaign and, according to the New York Post, the photos were shot here in Nashville.
Kidman’s campaign was styled to capture “themes of film noir and referencing the tension of Hitchcock’s empowered heroines,” according to a release from Jimmy Choo.

In one photo, she is shown with a messy red bob, sky-high heels, a short trench and heavy eyeliner while seductively staring at the camera.
“I really enjoyed being able to play a role that was strong, sexy and in control,” says Kidman in a statement. “I got into a relationship with the photographer and Mikael (Jansson) is very intuitive, he knows what I am thinking and feeling and is able to translate it through the camera.”
She also starred in a short video for the brand showcasing even more seasonal styles including black ankle booties, t-strap heels, and tall black boots that come just above her knees.
“She is one of the finest actresses in the world, and I knew she had the ability to convey the empowered confidence and glamour of the brand with conviction,” Choo creative director Sandra Choi said of Kidman, reports the New York Post. “In the campaign she strikes a perfect balance, portraying a strong, seductive woman but underpinned with a refined elegance and sophistication.”
The newspaper says Kidman shot the campaign in Nashville in April the day after attending husband Keith Urban’s Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum fundraiser All 4 the Hall.
