01 Sep Nike To Release Oregon-Themed Free Trainer 5.0 V6 Wednesday
It’s no doubt that Nike co-founder and chairman Phil Knight is fond of his alma mater, the University of Oregon. The school’s sports teams have been on the receiving end of the brand’s latest and greatest footwear and apparel, and will have a new training shoe dedicated to them this week.
The Nike Free Trainer 5.0 V6 Oregon will hit stores on Wednesday with a $110 retail price tag.
The shoe’s upper is kelly green and black, with a metallic silver swoosh near the heel. The outsole of the shoe is predominantly white with hints of black and kelly green. The Free Trainer 5.0 V6, a training shoe built for hitting the gym for off-the-field workouts, boasts the brand’s Flywire cables for support, abrasions resistant rubber on the heel and toe for durability, a low-profile Phylite midsole and a minimal molded sock liner.
