11 Feb Nike Updates SNKRS App
Nike has introduced an updated iOS app, a new app for Android, and an enhanced web experience on Nike.com for its members-only Nike SNKRS program.
Access is boosted thanks to updated functionality, making the experience fairer and faster.
“The new SNKRS app and web experiences connect consumers to our products, innovation and storytelling better than ever before and help them get better access to the sneakers they love,” explains Matthew Siegel, VP & GM of global digital commerce at NIKE, Inc. “These improvements allow Nike to bring the ultimate sneaker destinations to even more consumers in a premium way.”
The new updates provide individualized news and push notifications to SNKRS members, which combined ensure that consumers in the U.S. have the best access to all the latest shoe drops. Checkout is also designed for greater security. The additions of Touch ID, mobile multifactor authentication (MFA) and the use of PayPal and Nike Gift Cards advance cartless buying on all platforms.
The Draw, previously a stand-alone experience, is now an integrated feature of the SNKRS experience, accessible across both apps and Nike.com and levels the playing field for sneaker releases. The service, open to consumers for a pre-set amount of time, allows them to enter their product size and payment info for a chance to buy in-demand product. At the end of the allotted time, winners are randomly selected and receive a notification when their order is also being processed.
The new SNKRS experience presents a series of new shoes throughout the month of February , including the Nike Air Force 1 Flyknit, Jordan XXX, Jordan Cement IV and Kobe 11 Royalty.
