Nike’s Kobe Line to Continue Post-Retirement

Kobe Bryant, who earlier this year indicated he is retiring from the Los Angeles Lakers at the close of the year, told Sole Collector his Nike signature line will continue after retirement.

Jordan has been the only Nike line that has continued post-retirement.

Bryant said the Nike Kobe franchise “absolutely” will continue after his retirement. “We’ll remain extremely consistent with what we’ve been doing, which is creating innovative products that help athletes be the best versions of themselves,” Bryant said. “That’s not going to change.”

He added, “After 11 years, we’ve become so close to each other and we’ve established a relationship in how we communicate. We have a great flow and that’s not going to stop.”

Bryant has 11 signature sneakers. Only Michael Jordan and LeBron James have more. The LeBron brand is expected to continue post-retirement given that James also promises
