15 Nov Obama Administration Drops TPP Agenda
The White House has verified that the Obama Administration will not push forward in its efforts to seal the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) during his last days in office.
President-elect Donald Trump has opposing views in regards to the passing of the TPP, siding against its as he believes the pact, although meant to deter the ballooning economic influence of China, that it takes away from American commerce and could hurt domestic jobs.
Last week active lifestyle footwear brand New Balance shared on social media that it sides with Donald Trump on his opposition to the TPP, which spurred major backlash from consumers politically against the promotion of Trump to president.
Democratic candidate Hilary Clinton also expressed she was against passing the TPP, as did Bernie Sanders.
