17 Feb Oboz Adds International Ambassadors
Oboz footwear entered its second year of ambassador adventures, adding 15 new explorers to its team.
The 22 ambassadors for the 2016 Trail Team were selected from across the U.S., and now include international representatives from Canada, the U.K. and Australia. Ambassadors were chosen from a pool of applicants of thru-hikers, 300-nights-outside-a-year hikers, rural and urban dwellers, trail builders, writers and peak baggers. The selected group will regularly report their travels on the Oboz Trail Tales blog, and Oboz social networks.
Fifteen new people join seven returning Trail Team members, including Shawn Forry, who completed the first-ever winter thru-hike of the Pacific Crest Trail in 2015.
“We’re excited to expand Oboz’ gang of trail enthusiasts for 2016,” said Josh Fairchilds, co-founder and VP, Oboz. “These people inspire our community every day, and they are really at the heart of what Oboz is about. We welcome these adventurous storytellers.”
The new ambassadors roster consists of; Elisabeth Brentano, Southern California; Joyce Britton, Los Angeles, CA; Belinda James, Grafton, Australia; Scott Gauvin, IL; Ryan Huetter, Mammoth Lakes, CA; Brenda Johima, Vancouver, British Columbia; Benjamin Jordan, British Columbia, Canada; Kristen Lummis, Grand Junction, CO; Peter Morley, Burscough Lancaster, U.K.; Adam Noll, Signal Mountain, TN; Adam Nutting, Tuscon, AZ; John Stephens, Boone, NC; Sandy Tarburton, Waitsfield, VT: Lina Thompson, Georgetown, IN; Lisa Verwys, Bozeman, MT.
