31 Mar Oofos Sees Strong International Growth
Oofos, the recovery shoe brand, reported that international business in 2015 nearly tripled in 2015.
Oofos recovery footwear is now being sold in 18 countries around the world. Over the last 12 months, the company has opened up seven new international markets including Costa Rica, Honduras, Taiwan, Korea, the UK, Denmark, and Saudi Arabia.
International growth is also being fueled by strong sales in Thailand, Australia, New Zealand and Canada.
“I recently had the opportunity to visit with some of our retail stores in Australia, New Zealand and the UK – and everywhere Oofos is sold, we are hearing the same enthusiastic response from consumers, who love the product and how it makes them feel,” said Michael Harrison, board director of Oofos.
Harrison noted that international sales now account for approximately 15 percent of Oofos overall sales. “We expect to see our international markets become a larger percentage of our business in the coming years as Oofos is truly becoming a global pioneer in recovery footwear,” said Harrison.
Oofos is made of a proprietary breakthrough material called OOFoam, which absorbs 37 percent more impact than traditional foams used in athletic footwear.
