KUWAIT: Payless ShoeSource is celebrating a milestone event with the opening of its 100th store in the Middle East and North Africa region. The store is located in Kuwait’s newest shopping destination, The Gate Mall in Al-Eqaila. The first Payless ShoeSource store in the region opened in 2009 in Kuwait, and by the end of the first year, eight stores were operating in Kuwait, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. In 2014, the footwear chain has 54 stores in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, 14 in Kuwait, 11 in the United Arab Emirates, 10 in Egypt, 5 in Bahrain, and 2 stores each in Qatar, Jordan, Lebanon, and Morocco.
