Sourcing is complicated business. At a recent FDRA Summit Payless ShoeSource Global Sourcing SVP Mike McBreen talked strategies on how to deal with challenges in the sourcing business.
“Sourcing trends today are all about the definition of source country and market country, and those definitions are changing every day,” McBreen said.
He also noted that, in many places, the traditional definitions of what constitutes a market country versus a sourcing country are changing.
“We’re seeing market opportunities in countries that are traditionally viewed as source countries, and we’re also seeing sourcing opportunities closer to market.”
