SNIPES sets the course for the future:
Founder Sven Voth exiting in 2026
Dennis Schröder will take over full responsibility of SNIPES Europe
COLOGNE, Jan. 12, 2024 – Sven Voth, founder of the international sneaker and streetwear retailer SNIPES, announced his transition out of the business by January 1, 2026. He will remain with the company as founder until then with a focus on expansion, wholesale, product trends & innovation, and collaborations across Europe and the US. After the two-year transition period he will move into an advisory role. Sven Voth hands over his position as the CEO of SNIPES Europe with immediate effect. Dennis Schröder, who has been the General Manager of that business since April 2023, will succeed Voth and now take over full responsibility for SNIPES in Europe. Jim Bojko will maintain full responsibility for the US business.
Sven Voth sold the majority stake of SNIPES to the DEICHMANN Group in 2011. Following the redemption of the last shares, Voth, who founded the company in Essen in 1998 and has developed it over the years into a multi-billion-dollar group with over 750 stores in 12 countries, will stay involved with the brand. “SNIPES is my life’s work and will always be a part of me. I realize that it is time to hand over the baton and Dennis Schröder already enjoys the recognition of all colleagues in the company and partners outside of it. Together with Jim Bojko he will continue to enrich SNIPES with his expertise and ideas guiding the brand through its next chapter of growth.”
