Soles4Souls names Donna Mattick Chief Investor Relations Officer

Soles4Souls Inc., a global social enterprise dedicated to fighting poverty through the distribution of shoes and clothing, announced that Donna Mattick, a longtime executive for the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce, is leaving the Chamber to become the Chief Investor Relations Officer for the Nashville-based social enterprise.

Mattick, who joined the Chamber in 1992 and has provided leadership to their growth strategies, will lead the strategic efforts of the marketing, communications and development departments of Soles4Souls. She will also serve as a member of the four-person executive team who lead the organization’s anti-poverty mission.

Mattick joined Soles4Souls on January 26.

“Donna has been at the heart of creating a vibrant middle Tennessee through her work at the Chamber.  I couldn’t be more excited to have such an accomplished, connected and committed leader join our team,” said Soles4Souls CEO Buddy Teaster. “She’ll help make Soles4Souls an even better member of the Nashville community as well as expand our base of corporate and individual supporters across the country.  Donna will have a significant impact on our future and I look forward to working with her to make that happen.”

In addition to leading the Chamber’s growth team, Mattick was responsible for securing financial and volunteer resources for Partnership 2020, the Nashville region’s $18.5 million, 5-year economic development initiative, and the previous $16.3 million Partnership 2010 campaign. She also served as a member of the Chamber’s senior management team responsible for the operations of the $7 million-in-annual-revenue organization.

“It’s been an honor to serve the Nashville region through the Chamber. The region’s leadership, chamber members and staff are truly committed to pulling in the same direction to make our community better. It’s been a privilege to work with them every day over the last 23 years,” Mattick said. “I’m excited by my new opportunity to broaden support, here at home and nationally, for Soles4Souls’ inspiring mission. Through the generosity of individuals and corporations, Soles4Souls has made such an impact on the lives of the people it touches. I want to be a part of this courageous work.”

She has participated in various local community boards including Miriam’s Promise Adoption Agency, the American Heart Association, NAMA’s Chief Marketing Officer Roundtable, and currently serves on the Pope John Paul II High School Board of Trustees.  Donna was accepted into the exclusive “Rainmakers” group, sanctioned by the American Chamber of Commerce Executives recognizing the top producing fundraising chamber officials in America.  She was also part of the Chamber team as the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce was named as 2009 Chamber of the Year by the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives.

Prior to joining the Nashville Chamber, Mattick served as executive director of the Brentwood Chamber of Commerce, and as national corporate marketing director for Company Stores Development Corporation.  She is a graduate of the Institute of Organization Management at the University of Georgia.  Mattick also holds a bachelor’s degree in communication arts from the University of Alabama in Birmingham.
