13 Oct Stadium Goods Opens Buyer and Seller Stores
Stadium Goods unveiled stadiumgoods.com, an e-commerce site for sneaker enthusiasts, as well as the opening of stores in downtown Manhattan for buyers and sellers. Stadium Goods is the brainchild of co-founders John McPheters and Jed Stiller, who have backgrounds in e-commerce, venture capital and hospitality.
“Sneaker culture is more than just a multi-billion dollar business, it’s a serious passion for generations of consumers. We share that passion and want to innovate the way consumers buy and sell coveted sneakers, apparel and goods—making both experiences more efficient, friendly and interactive. From day one, we will have a direct line to our customers and consignors, addressing their needs in real time, both in-store and online,” said McPheters.
Joining the Stadium Goods team as Chief Marketing Officer Yu-Ming Wu, the creator of SneakerNews.Com and the footwear convention SneakerCon. Stadium Goods is Wu’s first foray into retail. Equally notable are Stadium Good’s site design by Gin Lane media (Harrys.com,Reformation.com,SweetGreen.com) and store designs by Jorge Porta (formerly of Mark Zeff Design).
