The Athlete’s Foot Partner Partners with Kicks 4 the City

Kicks 4 the City, the non-profit that donates shoes to the homeless, has partnered with The Athlete’s Foot USA for its 5th annual shoe drive.

Kicks 4 the City, powered by Legacy Leavers (nonprofit organization), focuses its efforts around the holiday season in local communities experiencing poverty and homelessness. The mission is to bring awareness to these struggles and provide the opportunity for our communities to come together as one, donating new or lightly used shoes for those less-fortunate during the colder fall and winter months.

With 459 stores located in 24 countries worldwide, The Athlete’s Foot “emerges as the ideal partner,” the organization said in a statement. “Their national reach coupled with an equally laudable commitment to the community, will lead us to our goal of 25,000 pairs of shoes for those in need this 2016 giving season.”

“Today’s announcement with Kicks 4 the City comes with great pleasure,” added Adam Chait, CEO – The Athlete’s Foot USA. “This partnership will help deliver shoes to thousands of families experiencing poverty and homelessness. It will also allow The Athlete’s Foot to strengthen our commitment and ties to the local communities we serve.”

Prior to becoming CEO in September 2015, Chait was VP corporate strategy, Tween Brands, and had previously worked for Deloitte Consulting.

Kicks 4 the City and The Athlete’s Foot are planning initiatives throughout the year that will increase their impact in local communities experiencing poverty and homelessness. Plans will be unveiled in coming months.
