27 Jun Under Armour Unveils Official Look at Speedform
As Under Armour continues to revolutionize footwear in all sports, today they focus on running silhouettes specifically with a new model. Inspired by an unknown textile company’s efforts to curate a space suit, UA begin to conceptualize a new shoe that, for all intents and purposes, would be built from the inside out. The result of that creative thought process is the all-new Speedform RC – a runner that’s designed to offer a glove-like fit and allows its users to run effortlessly with grace and comfort.
This no frills shoe built from one singular piece of fabric for a lightweight makeup and minimal aesthetic pleases visually in every way possible. As far as functionality is concerned, UA utilizes a seamless heel cup for the foot with ultrasonic seaming and a silicone heel grip for durability and support to power through training when fatigued. The exactness of the next-to-skin fit allows runners to move faster without any technical compromise or risk of injury. The sneakers are also the first to be manufactured outside a sneaker factory, but in one that produces bra’s, interestingly enough.
The Under Armour Speedform RC hits retailers in early July for $120 USD.
