30 Nov Wolverine Worldwide Makes Consumer Direct and Apparel Hires
Wolverine World Wide Inc. appointed Scott Sincerbeaux as president of consumer direct while naming Tom Kennedy as president of apparel and accessories.
The company said Sincerbeaux’s hiring is designed to “more fully align and accelerate the company’s consumer-direct operations and omnichannel transformation initiatives.”
Sincerbeaux brings over 30 years of leadership in creating consumer experiences at retail, most recently as vice president of North America Retail at Godiva Chocolate. Prior to his role with Godiva, he held senior leadership positions with JCPenney, Bare Escentuals, Crabtree & Evelyn, Ecco, Brown Shoe and several other footwear companies. As part of this move, the Stride Rite Children’s Group will join the company’s consumer direct division, enabling leadership to focus efforts and investments on a coordinated set of growth initiatives. Sincerbeaux will report directly to Blake Krueger, Wolverine Worldwide’s chairman, chief executive officer and president.
The hiring of Kennedy as president of apparel and accessories is designed to “coordinate expertise and leadership of the apparel and accessories businesses for Wolverine Worldwide’s portfolio of global lifestyle and performance brands.”
In this newly-created role, Kennedy will oversee all of the company’s apparel and accessories initiatives around the world. Kennedy was most recently executive vice president of the Fossil Brand with the Fossil Group and previously led the Fossil retail group and wholesale business. Before joining Fossil, Kennedy was a division president at PacSun, vice president of U.S. apparel at Nike, and held various senior roles with The Gap. Kennedy will also report directly to Krueger.
“I couldn’t be more excited about these appointments,” stated Krueger. “We continue to focus and devote resources to accelerating our consumer-direct initiatives and building global lifestyle brands. Scott and Tom both add extensive and diverse experience to our team and deepen our already strong bench. They both have a strong consumer-centric background and will work to drive two of our most critical strategic growth initiatives as we continue to build our family of brands around the world.”
The company’s portfolio of highly recognized brands includes: Merrell, Sperry, Hush Puppies, Saucony, Wolverine, Keds, Stride Rite, Sebago, Cushe, Chaco, Bates, HYTEST, and Soft Style. The company also is the global footwear licensee of the popular brands Cat and Harley-Davidson.
