23 Nov Zappos.com Offers Free Pet Adoptions for Black Friday Weekend
Zappos.com this Black Friday through Cyber Monday will help to bring pets “Home for the Pawlidayz” by sponsoring the cost of adoption fees for dogs and cats through Best Friends Animal Society, along with more than 100 of its No More Homeless Pets Network partners.
And for every adoption from Nov. 27 through Nov. 30, Zappos will donate an additional $150 to Best Friends to help cover the cost of food, medical care, immunizations, training and more for animals awaiting homes. Total donation amount, including adoption fees, is a maximum of $1.1 million.
During one of the busiest shopping times of the year, Zappos is connecting with customers in a unique way by giving them the opportunity to provide a forever home to animals in need. More than 100 shelters, rescues and humane organizations across the United States will participate in the promotion, allowing customers everywhere the chance to save a furry friend nearby this holiday season.
“Zappos is thrilled to provide homes for animals through Best Friends this holiday season,” said Steven Bautista, Head of Karma at Zappos.com. “Thousands of dogs and cats are in need of a loving home and we’re excited to give customers the ability to make a difference.”
Zappos is no stranger to giving back during the busiest shopping days of the year. Last year, Zappos donated 10 meals per order placed on Zappos.com (up to 5,000,000 meals), in partnership with Feeding America. The initiative, dubbed Fast, Free Giving, alleviated hunger in local communities across America by just placing an order on Zappos.com.
